Trump Is Losing the Shutdown Fight: A Closer Look

The Password - The Office US

Esoog says...

I do watch Brooklyn Nine Nine. You're right, that is a worthy sitcom. Superstore, I admit, I never got into. I'll have to check it. The Good Place I liked the first season, then got a little bored.

Modern Family is great, but I feel like it's jumped the shark the past 2 seasons.

Are you watching Brooklyn Nine Nine, Superstore, or the Good Place? Those are all great mainstream sitcoms, and they were all created by vets of The Office, so they share DNA.

The Password - The Office US

Esoog says...

I really miss The Office. I mean, it plays every day on TBS, and we have every episode recorded on our DVR...but I miss it being new. There are no good mainstream sitcoms anymore.

Just because you can go fast, doesn't mean you should

Anna Kendrick’s Between the Scenes Takeover

Esoog says...

Anna Kendrick is so perfectly cute. Always loved her personality. And Ive never been a big fan of Trevor or his show, but seeing him naturally talk like this, he was good.

Awesome shiny costumes!

Suspect drives off with Officer hanging on car

Esoog says...

Nothing wrong with the officer pulling him over. Dude was a full SUV length past the stop sign. If someone was coming from the officer's direction, turning left, it would have impeded their progress. Not saying they still couldn't have made the turn, or it would have been dangerous or anything, the signs are there for a reason. The stop was probably more to see if this was a dui, but he had reason to stop him. Just be cool, don't be an ass, and probably would have gotten a warning and let go, unless he has a long history of infractions...then he deserved it.

Unarmed child shot in the back while running from police

Esoog says...

You know how to fix that? Don't run away.

newtboy said:

By that logic, anyone running away should be shot to death because they MIGHT get a gun and worse, and anyone not running should be shot to death because they MIGHT be posturing to fight.

At the time of the shooting, the police didn't know there were guns or bullet holes in the car, which could be old holes. The driver was released, which indicates to me it WASN'T used in a drive by at all, or he would be an accomplice and would have been arrested. You disagree? Those guns might be his legal guns and unfired, there's little actual info.

No, if he was running away unarmed, no rational person would ask why they didn't shoot, that's moronic. Any person can be a potential danger. We don't give cops the right to be judge, jury, and executioner on the street based on their assumptions and guesses as you suggest we should. This is America, not the Philippines.

Officer pulls over daughter's boyfriend

Esoog says...

It is a shame that he abused his power and position as a police officer, because I really believe he cares for his daughter's well being. He probably doesn't know how to show it, and that's unfortunate for both of them.
