"Did the Site Break?!"

No. Well, only temporarily. If you missed it (and most may have because it started around midnight East Coast time), the entire site became inaccessible with error messages strewn frivolously assunder. It wasn't pretty.

If you're wondering if the site was simply broken, I guess we can just say we were experiencing momentary technical difficulties. This problem may occur again in infrequent, but short, ugly bursts without warning until we have completely cleared it up (sort of like a pimple). Have no fear; they are just momentary relapses and we are working on a fix. (The site caught a bug, but the chicken noodle soup I fed in through the USB drive didn't seem to help. I guess it prefers wireless. Who knew?)

;-) Thanks for your patience, Sifters.

P.S. If you're wondering why I finally removed my Santa hat, I was peer pressured into it by *uh-hem* someone with a lot of *coughdag* power around here, but I'm not mentioning any names.

Update: As you may have noticed there are still some random things broken, read: email notifications and cron jobs, like expired videos.

Dag update: All features should be back to normal. Outbound emails from VideoSift were switched off for a while, so you might want to check your profile if you were expecting new comment notifications.
