Narator at the end "Wow, there is no way that is real-time". I agree. The camera angles and everthing else speak of pre-rendered eye-candy. I can get the same effect by inserting a ToyStory 2 DVD ;-)

OK, I caught that link Ender, but I'm still not buying it - if this is actual game play, who's rotating the cameras to give all of those cinematic angles.

I'll eat my hat if gameplay in UT2007 is even close to this. I think they are fudging the idea of "real time". Maybe they are using the same hardware to render these scenes that would be used in gameplay, but I still think they would be called "pre-rendered" by non spin-meisters.

The graphics, maybe. But the actual gameplay?
What dag is saying is that it's obviously scripted for this video, even if the graphics are actually realtime.

Agreed. Let's say these are real-time graphics, nontheless, the game is not cinematic in that manner. Although that day will come in time, where a game is the next cinematic masterpeice, in which I have no doubt, even the next-gen systems like 360 PS3 are incapable I think of working realtime with those kind of cinematic camera moves and such.

the 613 post goes further than the "Wow, there is no way that is real-time" statement. See 40min into the 613 vid. Its definitely scripted, but it is real-time rendered by the game engine itself using the PS3 gpu.

What the clip demo was trying to say was that the ps3 is capable of real-time game rendering of such quality
