russia win WWII not america

you did not win war. to know who winning war, watch video.
mauz15says...

Huh? since when is it correct to talk about who won WWII in terms of a single country? The Allies won the war against the Axis powers. Doesn't the term world war implies a war engaged in by all or most of the principal nations of the world? nationS, plural. Victory or loss will therefore be plural.

The allies (soviet union, the British and the US) won the war against the axis.

the documentary is good to watch; Stalingrad was a turning point, but the title and description are ridiculous in my opinion.

If I'm wrong about any of this, please correct me.

Stalingrad1942, The war was won by efforts from many countries.. yet you seem to be foolish enough to believe that Russia was the only deciding factor. I think that if either Russia or America (and Canada and other supporting countries) had not fought bravely and voraciously then "winning" the war would have been extremely difficult to impossible. What should have happened earlier on during the war is the companies that were supplying the Nazi regime with Oil, Supplies, Money, and raw materials should have been scrutinized and punished for supplying a brutal country with the weapons of mass destruction that allowed them to oppress Europe.

Either change your title or you get my downvote.

13653says...

exaggeration of my title is smaller than exaggeration of western revisionist history

downvote of truth is typical western reaction even when your bbc shows you truth you make excuses

title is what title says... if you want to choose winner then you must choose russia
russia plus germany would kick your soft bottoms think about it

13653says...

who is ignorant? how many of your western friends even know where is stalingrad? you suggest i do not know where is japan?

your western pride is hurt i see this is not my intention. intention is to show ignorant people what is battle of stalingrad.

you are lucky none of your cities was reduced to the horror of stalingrad. you should be happy and thankful not making excuses

MINKsays...

lol at "constitutional patriot" vs "stalingrad1942"

but yeah, russia did win the war, and no i didn't learn that in school. I mean i learnt the fact, it was briefly said in class that the russians were first to berlin.... but stalingrad? not so much about that. we just learnt how hitler was evil and the battle of britain was awesome.

so maybe cp you were lucky enough to get a good education and be listening at the time, but i think it's fair play to suggest that most "westerners" aren't so lucky or so giveashit.

no upvote... it's fucking BBC retardopresenters again.

Constitutional_Patriotsays...

Ohhhh.. so whoever gets to Berlin first was the winner.. I didn't know it was a race.. thanks for clearing that up mink. I'd say everyone lost in WWII but that's my opinion. We should have just stopped fighting the Japs at that point eh>?.. since the war was won and all. Plus all those fronts where fighting had occured meant nothing right?

MINKsays...

are you saying you think most people in america know where/what stalingrad is? you wanna go out into the street and video a few people and send me the youtube link?

and i wasn't taught WWII, that's just a fact, it wasn't on the syllabus, we spent about 20 minutes on it, but we did months on Hitler's rise to power. i don't remember saying the war was a race to berlin. you twisted that, fox news style.

i think you're getting a bit worked up about it.

Constitutional_Patriotsays...

Yes giving you a rebuttal is "getting worked up" isn't it? Yes it does upset me a bit since my grandfather died in Belgium at the Battle of the Bulge.. yet what sacrifice has he made when most people could care less that many have died so they could be free.

I think you underestimate the educated class of America in knowing about Stalingrad. But hey it's easy for ppl to just say we're stupid Americans.. kind of fun to put someone down isn't it?

MINKsays...

CP you are fixated on this idea that there were other battles. OH REALLY? I THINK EVERYONE FUCKING AGREES WITH YOU.

Were there any battles more bloody or pivotal than Stalingrad... err.... no.

Are americans famous for their "educated class" forming the majority of the population? Famous for having geography and history scholars roaming the streets? Er... no.

Can we calm down now? Nobody dissed your grandfather.

13653says...

sorry if i write bad in english. i think it is better than how you write in russian.

also sorry about grandfather but you are not the only one who lost family. some people in stalingrad were EATING family think about it

Constitutional_Patriotsays...

Mink I agree that Stalingrad was the bloodiest battle in WWII. Was it the ultimate deciding factor for ending the war... err .... no.

If you ever played Axis and Allies as a kid like I did then you would have at times played the Russians in the battles of Stalingrad, Berlin and Prussia. Russia always seemed to win because of the advantage of vast numbers of troops even though they had a disadvantage in weaponry supply.

Stalingrad was a pivotal battle that is undisputable. Did the war end as a result of toppling the Nazi regime>? No.
