the more information that keeps coming out,the more the trump administration is refusing to comply and more and more republicans are jumping ship.

i can no longer deny that something seriously under-handed is going on in the trump administration.this began all with ties to russia, but the rabbit hole may go much deeper than simple collusion with a foreign government.

from rawstory:
On the afternoon of May 9, President Donald Trump fired FBI Director James Comey. By that evening, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow (and much of the political intelligentsia) were comparing Comey’s shocking sacking to the ‘Saturday Night Massacre’ — the Watergate firings and resignations that began the end of President Richard Nixon’s career.

While others discussed and even briefly explained the ‘Saturday Night Massacre’ and its similarities to Trump’s scandalous firing of Comey, Maddow gave viewers a history lesson, and placed it within the context of what happened with Comey — and, moreover, explained the timeline of the scandal surrounding deposed national security advisor Michael Flynn, the firing of acting Attorney General Sally Yates, and now, Comey’s termnation.

In her opening, Maddow ties together the similarities between Nixon’s and Trump’s scandals, and does so in a chronological manner.

Today, the morning after firing Comey, (possibly for requesting more funding for the investigation into Trump's administration colluding with Russia yesterday), Trump is meeting in secret (closed door meetings) with the two Russian diplomats that are indisputably directly involved in the collusion on tape.

There has yet to be a shred of evidence that even appears to exonerate them of these charges of treason, and every single action they take indicates guilt.

Insane that we are now in a position where we have to hope this follows Watergate's lead, because the alternative path is directly into tyrannical despotism.

The story from the white house is they fired him for his actions last summer when he said there was no evidence that Clinton broke the law, actions they fully knew about in January when they embraced and exalted him.
The other story they gave was that Sessions wrote the president a note saying in essence, "just fire him". This is the person who was forced to recluse himself from the investigation due to being involved himself directing the president to fire the lead investigator, and the president following directions.
The story from Trump himself this morning is he fired Comey because "he wasn't doing a good job". The job he was doing was investigating Trump.

That's 3 completely different excuses in one day, less than one day.

And Mitch McConnell is already saying there's absolutely no reason for an independent investigation or special prosecutor? Really?!?
