keep your iPod cords from tangling

I already do this with my MP3 player and it's not even an iPod.

I think this addresses a problem I don't have, and I do own an iPod.

Also works for wireless headphones.

Problem is that when you coil any wire around any object, you are inadvertantly putting strain on the copper within and shortening it by micrometers. Because the wire is anchored at both ends, to the earbud drivers as well as the jack, extensive coiling over time can actually break the solders. That is why you will never see me perform this move, ever.
