therealblankmansays...As cool as this is, the novelty would be gone in about 10 minutes. Then, I'd just want my damn drink.
macsays...Gotta agree. I guess it would be nice if there was no one interesting to talk to at the bar.
iauisays...This is not a touch screen. You can see that the guy's arm triggers the 'ray'ing effect when he's placing the glass and not touching the screen. It uses projection technology to detect when/where some object passes over it.
The lag that you see behind people 'touching' the surface and the effect moving is caused by the fact that the computer has to sense where the 'touch' is by processing reams of video. If it were a touch screen, the lag would be much less.

Voronwesays...If you could order drinks with this it would at least be useful... because that's what i imagined it was after for after reading the heading
bamdrewsays...I saw this sort of deal a few years back. MIT students had a large table with oddly shaped glass controls that were moved around and twisted and what-not to mix and apply effects to the music channels that were playing, on the fly.
