a poignant video about a dog starved as art

A short video for a petition to ban the work of Guillermo Habacuc from the coming bienarte in Nicaragua. His previous work featured a dog who was starved in a gallery, across from a wall featuring the sentence "you are what you read" written with dog food.

Not so sure about this. It could be that the artist wanted to make a statement. According to some sources he wanted to test the public's reaction or show their hypocrisy and the dog wasn't maltreated at all. (http://arts.guardian.co.uk/art/news/story/0,,2269320,00.html

Maybe someone who speaks Spanish can do a more thorough search.

Anyway, as far as I can see from a quick search at the internet, the incident lead to many petitions against the artist, but none against the terrible situation of stray dogs in Puerto Rico or elsewhere. So if the artist wanted to make a statement, he certainly did.
