You're last tag is 100% on-target: This show was WAY under-appreciated. I don't know why Cartoon Network canceled it, but it was one of their best original series ever.

I absolutely love this show. Brilliant animation! The way minutes will pass without anything being said and the deliberate pacing are really gutsy for a "kid's" TV show.

Reminded me of the incredible end of the Rurouni Kenshin movie, Samurai X: Trust & Betrayal. Theres a long quiet scene at the end exactly like this, where a diverse group of thugs are lying in wait as Kenshin walks along a path in the snow.

Meh, Avatar is definitely the best animated kids show I've ever seen.
This is good too, tho.

Is this the same animator who did the videos for Jason Forrest's "War Photographer" and M Ward's "Chinese Translation"? Google those, they're amazing vids.

"Samurai Jack" (from which this clip is taken) is the creation of Genndy Tartakovsky, who is also known for Dexter's Laboratory, Powerpuff Girls, and the animated Clone Wars series.
"War Photographer" and "Chinese Translation" are the product of director Joel Trussel and his own team of talented animators.

Samurai Jack was created by Genndy Tartakovsky. He's working on the sequel to The Dark Crystal.
