Revolution?
by revolution, you mean "lets form a lynch mob a rob the rich guys house" ?
imstellar28says...The federal government owns 2.7 trillion out of 14 trillion, or 19.28% of the national income.
At last count, there were 15,788,784 governmental employees, or 5% of the 300 million US residents. Therefore, 5% of residents control 19.28% of the national income. This money was not obtained through the creation an innovative products, services, or ideas as in the private sector, but rather at the forced taxation of the other 95% or 285 million Americans.
Revolution?
Farhad2000says...Its unfair to lay a blanket of blame at 'government' like that, when you had an administration that had no understanding of fiscal responsibility and choose to spend more then it was earning back because of some stupid belief that American business would make it all prevail.
Federal Spending Pie Chart
Maybe if the US stops spending so much on its military it can start spending whats needed to pay back the national debt and reduce Social Security spending concerns and rework the Medicare program.
Choose your administration and leaders wisely.
bluecliffsays...Those top 1% presumably don't work in the government...
does the administration really matter that much?
Isn't it more likely that a ruling class of civil servants and functionaries makes it all happen, otherwise democracy would mean - having an official revolution every four years.
Oh, the "super-rich" were for Obama (an they don't care about taxes, according to the poll)

perhaps feudalism is the answer. I like feudalism.

I don't know you tell me, does $2.7 trillion matter much to you?
All you are doing is trading the upper class for the bureaucratic class, as is the case in communism.
