Kruposays...If that big dragon represents the Chinese government, is the man in the commercial a Western capitalist hero out to convert, subjugate, or destroy America's enemies?
Sure seems like it. Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this.
sfjockosays...Yeh, it sure seems like that.
Where did you find this?
Morcaesays...If the dragon is supposed to be China, then why is it of the Western variety? Seems to me it's just "Hey cool, knights in armor with swords and stuff!" I mean, I'm reeeeealy into politics, and I didn't associate China with this commercial at all.
deadfoxsays...i would guess... you're reading way too much into this... hehe
Kruposays...Found on Google's "Superbowl ad" feature back when the game took place; had it hanging around my blog here - http://krupo.blogspot.com/2006/02/united-your-best-choice-for-destroying.html - then dug it up to share with the VS crowd.
I guess I was feeling philosophical at the time or something.
Kruposays...I thought the toy dragon looks more like it than the big one in the middle. Meh.
Also, update: this ad one two Association of Independent Commercial Producers awards for 2006, for animation and for Musical Arrangement.
my15minutessays...interesting piece of *commercial *animation,
with a funny (and thought-provoking) title.
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Animation, Commercial) - requested by my15minutes.
