Truck Pushes Wheelchair for Miles - 911 Calls

A comedy tag for us but not for the 21 year old man who was crossing the street in his wheelchair when he was struck by a semitrailer that did not see him. He became lodged in the grille of the semi and was pushed for miles at speeds of up to 50 MPH before officers stopped the driver.

Playing ok here. I was reading the comments on digg last night and having a hoot. I think this could be the best story of the year.
I think the third caller needed medical attention.

Michigan semi drivers are crazy. This is just one shining example.

Only about 15 minutes from where I live...Not surprised at all.

The guy in the wheelchair is definitely going to get arrested for this. Everyone knows it's illegal to hitch a ride in Michigan. And he was speeding, to boot.

Has anyone heard how he ended up with the handles of his chair stuck in the grill of a semi? Did he place himself there on purpose?
