zorI got a kenmore, and an old Kirby G5 because I like vacuuming. I'll say it once and again for anyone who is considering BAGLESS VACS ARE CRAP. American's hear that smooth, smooth, British accent and they are falling all over themselves to buy a Dyson. OH, listen to him talk. So Smooooth! He's sounds really intelligent like he knows something you don't know. NO He DOn't!! He ain't know nuthin'! Ye ha!
My_designsays...I have a Shark vacuum and love it. Screw Dyson.
XaielaoI've owned a Dyson vac and I can confirm it didn't hold a candle to 'old reliable' my 20 year old Kirby Diamond Classic my mom gave me when I got my first apartment. It may be fancy looking, but the difference in performance is night and day. Yes I may have to buy bags once in a while, or replace a busted belt, but that old Kirby cleans like nobodies business.
I've found Dyson products in general are shit. I received one of their 'fans' as a gift. It worked decently enough but was loud as hell when turned up and didn't spread air around the room that well, all for $350 for a 12" fan. I later bought a regular fan that had different settings, could turn to blow air around the room, etc, and did a 'much' better job cycling and cooling the room for $50.
Dyson is like Bose. Fantastic marketing but the actual product is over-priced and under-performing.
poolcleanerAwwwww, poor dirt. Getting the hostel treatment is too much, even for dirt.
DarkhandFunny I actually bought the Vacuum he has on his desk last year and I love it. Consumer reports gave it an awesome grade as well which is why I purchased it.
Only problem I ever have is getting it started sometimes. When you change attachments there is a safety somewhere that won't let you start the vacuum unless something (attachment) is hooked up to the hose. Have to take off an attachment and re-attach it to get her started.
