Trailer for Steven Soderbergh's "Bubble"

I love this trailer. It contains no actual footage from the movie; it's just shots of dolls being built set to increasingly bombastic music. And it's awesome. I wish more trailers could be like this.

I dunno, I thought it was a pretty good film. Very, very low key. I liked Soderbergh's direction, and the use of non-actors was interesting. Not the best movie ever, but definitely worth a watch. *requeue

The New Orleans Film Society showed this and had Soderbergh on hand for a Q&A session afterwards. He used non-actors and he gave them talking points. They were then asked to construct dialogue from the talking points and drawing on their own experiencs. He also discussed shooting this digitally.

The film opened at theaters the same day it came out on DVD and was made availble on Pay Per View. The company behind the making of this film pushes releasing films in this manner.
