I remember feeding pigeons with my friend at a Southern CA mission (forgot which one) during our elementary school days. One landed on my left shoulder. That pigeon (Pigeon, perhaps?) was heavy.

I used to work for one of the bay area's busiest restaurants. There was an outdoor seating area, and the pigeons and seagulls would frequently get in floor staff's way. The idiot tourist patrons who fed the animals despite being warned not to didn't help. The restaurant easily spent a couple grand each month to cover the cost of remaking food stolen by the birds.
