It's so messed up but I remember from Pop Up Videos from VH1 that this video was shot by the director with the recording light obscured so that the actors and singer could not tell when the camera was actually filming. Thus the cinema verite style of this video.

this song was so popular when i was in high school and the girls in my class would keep singing it in class and dedicating it to ppl over the radio. I'm like 'you know the song is about losing your virginity right?' and they're like 'what?!'. Good times, good times.
