The sentiment is nice, rickegee, but given that even his username by itself is spam, this is the perfect situation to *ban.

Since this is the first banination, I guess we can establish the post-ban protocol now. Since siftbot has pushed this into SiftTalk as he's supposed to (good job siftbot, btw), we should maybe let it sit for a little while for all to see before we finally discard to actually be rid of the submission for good.

Perhaps I was eager to invoke the ban. I saw a drive-by post: first post by black20, obvious self-post. Didn't figure it was a "teachable moment"-- my bet is black20 is promoting on lots of different sites and won't be back unless he has something else to flog.

You're right though, that zero tolerance for self-linking is not the best way to make friends and influence people

Now flashing back to an article I posted on here from Forbes. It credited NBC with creating “The Easter Bunny Hates You.”
