The Young Turks: Man Farts at Cop

He was charged with assaulting a police officer because the fart was "very odorous; it created contact of an insulting or provoking nature."

Yes, every time this sh*t ends up in the news, the policeman either tased the farter / name caller / whatever, or they charged them with assault. What doesn't end up in the news (usually) is the massive amount of times that policemen have all kinds of nasty, evil, despicable actions or attitudes directed at them yet somehow manage to maintain a calm and rational response in situations that would throw the vast majority of civilians like me or you into a hissy fit.

It is good to hold the police force to a higher standard than John Q. Public. It is good to call out and report on the unreasonable, overreacting fascist police than go taser-happy or charge flatulent morons with assault. I don't approve of Cenk's attitude and comments here that suggest that this represents standard behavior of the police force in the USA.
