thesnipesays...This is still being repeated on the US BBC channel, it's the British version but still hilarious.
karaidlsays...British version was good, but I prefered the American. The humor was the same, but at that point they were far more experienced so the improv was about ten times better, and the games were longer. Not to mention Clive Anderson was a pretty sucky host, especially compared to Drew.
choggiesays...awww, c'mon man, yer just not used to stuffiness, pretentiosity, and bum jokes.
Sylvester_Inksays...Both versions of the show had their own flavors. I did prefer the American one, but the British one was quite good as well.
berticussays...you people are weird. the british one was a hojillion times better.
tmanstarksays...Oh, good heebie jeebies. Drew is the worst of a game show ever - and when he joins in to improv he's like someone who gets the joke 10 minutes after everyone else. He's bad.
Clive Anderson was awesome. He had his own talk show as well. Just classic British, underplayed but hilarious. The american one sucks because it has such little variety in peope who are willing to do it. And they always insist on the hoedown song which should just be banned. It brings the show to a screeching - emphasis on screeching - halt.
if anyone has seen improv teams in real life they wipe the floor with the American team. Wayne Brady sings well and Ryan is fairly quick, but c'mon, even this busting up clip amounts to a big "Huh?" and "Why?" People busting up usually gets me following right along but this was just dumb. Colin's second "meow" was funny tho.
karaidlsays...You are REALLY over-analyzing there, buddy.
videosiftbannedmesays...Both versions were great. I'm a fan of anything improv, ie. The Office (another great show; both of them), Dave Atell's Insomniac, Christopher Guest's series, etc.
Erocksays...Meow
silvercordsays...k[a]raidl - here is the classic clip on the Sift:

slintsays...UK version was way better.
southblvdsays...tmanstark - The 'meow' thing was from earlier in the episode. You'd have to see it to really get why they were losing it.
If you ever see the WLiiA crew lose it, it's usually because of something Colin does. Him and Ryan are the best on the show.
Also, if you ever have a chance to go see Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood -- DO IT! Definitely one of the funniest shows I've ever been to. This October will be the third time I'm seeing them! http://www.colinandbradshow.com/
