Croccydilesays...I love how it goes from a crocodile to a rubber alligator to real alligators in stock footage.

sanderbossays...This is inaccurate I think (and when I looked it up Wikipedia agreed with me). The original Wilhelm Scream was from somebody shot with an arrow.
(so the first clip in this, you know from the guy called Wilhelm...)

I always found it interesting that most Wilhelm screams are from people falling, while the original managed to stay on the horse...
rosser99says...^ Uh, Wikipedia seems to agree with Distopian..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelm_scream
So does this documentary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PxALy22utc
sanderbossays...^ Hmmm, yeah what can I say, 'little' workstress perhaps, well no I have no proper excuses. I was convinced it was the arrow, just skimmed the Wikipedia article until I found the word arrow, and then without any further thought blabbed away. Sorry.
spoco2Ah Wilhelm, how I hate thee.
I know it's like a sound designer's 'in gag', but man it shits me when I hear it, especially in a 'serious' film, takes me right out of the moment.
Grr
sillmasays...I was completely oblivious to wilhelm scream until I heard about it on QI. I rue the day it was brought to my attention, because now every film scene gets ruined whenever I hear the dreaded scream.
