The Story of the Universe Told in Less Than 4 Minutes

How did we get here? -well that’s a long, long story
that begins 13.7 billion years ago inside a bubble
that is smaller than an atom.

It is story that includes the formation of atoms, the
first burst of light, the birth of stars, the aggregation
of planets, the appearance of liquid water, chemical
reactions leading to life, and the eventual develop-
ment of a consciousness that can contemplate its
own existence and its own small place in a universe
that is 156 billion light years across.

It is a long, long story; but not so long that the
History Channel can’t tell in well, in less than four
minutes, complete with time lines and computer
simulations. (From PonderAbout)

So what this video tells me is that during its first seconds, because hydrogen was created, the universe was gay. Well that explains a lot.

Yet this alleged "theory" has no explanation for the creation of douchebags. Seems fatally flawed to me.

BTW, during the first billionth of a second the universe looked like the T-1000. Another coincidence? Ask your local librarian. Or ask her out on a date. Smart chicks know how to work teh cock. That's what my best friend's cousin told me.

it puts across hypotheses as facts. but i guess it would be kind of helpful to show a small child to get the general jist of it.
it will be sooo much more complicated than this (we might never get to the bottom of it with testable science).
IMO we're better off using reason and deduction to understand how it all began eg. the anthropic principle, multiverse theory (+biocosm theory) etc...

This made me think of those old maps you see that were drawn hundreds of years ago, showing continents that are oddly disfigured along their coasts or even omitting the existence of the Americas.

Hundreds of years from now, we will probably know much much more about the formation of the universe, and explanations like the one in this video will seem terribly outdated, or even completely disproven. Still, it was very interesting to watch, and it's always awing to be reminded just how tiny we are.
