The Science Behind How Cats Drink

LiveScience: cats drink with delicate balance. A cat laps at a yogurt-water mixture, shown here slowed down four times. Liquid adheres to the cat's tongue and grows by inertia as the cat laps. Before gravity pulls the column back down, the cat closes its jaws, trapping the liquid in its mouth.
