Digitalfiendsays...I grew up in a house that always had 4-5 of those things hanging around in the basement (of an old wartime house). I hated those things as a kid and still strongly dislike them. Thankfully, I've only ever seen one in my own house in the 12 yrs I've lived here and that one lasted about two seconds.
I will admit they look pretty awesome when filmed like in this video - but they are creepy as f*ck and way too fast and twitchy for my liking. I think I looked around my desk about 6 or 7 times while watching this...*shudder*
jmdsays...Never had these around really... but I hear they are one of the best kind of best control insect to have. I guess you just have to deal with the constant molting shells left around. I think I could easily handle these over spiders... sorry spiders you guys were born scary.
Digitalfiendjokingly says...Unless you've had one of these skitter across the floor at warp speed while you're watching a horror movie at night, you don't know what you're saying!
But yeah, these things apparently have voracious appetites. Come to think of it, I don't think I saw many spiders at my dad's house growing up...these guys probably got them all lol.

antsays...I recently saw in my nest's kicthen floor. It just idled there while I stared. I grabbed a tissue and picked it up to get rid of it! http://www.reddit.com/r/centipedes/comments/8yhwn1/what_centipede_species_is_this_found_on_a_rural/ for my ID request.
