dystopianfuturetodaysays...A pretty song and an interesting, dark video. Thom Yorke sings a melody too similar to be a coincidence in Radiohead's song 'Creep', so I put this on my Creep playlist.
JAPRsays...This does remind me a lot of Creep. Or maybe Creep reminds me of this. Either way, I think the 70s definitely count as *vintage.
edit: holy shit, as soon as the chorus hit I remembered hearing this before. Nice sift!
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Vintage) - requested by JAPR.

tyvm! and yeah, that's the other thing.
almost no one realizes what song it is, until they hit the chorus.
dystopianfuturetodaysays...From wiki: The original (Creep) melody was taken and retooled from a song "The Air That I Breathe" written by Albert Hammond and Mike Hazelwood in the 70s. Hammond and Hazelwood share the songwriting credits and royalties.
kronosposeidonsays...Oh you big sentimental pussycat, my15. I bet you have this song queued up and ready to play on your CD player whenever you think you're going to get a girl back to your place. Tell me I'm wrong.

Wow, I never knew about the whole Radiohead/"Creep" connection, but now that you explain it I can't help but inextricably link the two melodies. Way cool!
JAPRsays...Something I've really noticed about VideoSift: while it's a great community, and there are a ton of great videos, it seems like any sort of music video, no matter how classic and great, gets a pathetically low number of votes. And this saddens me.
my15minutessays...i s'pose. but as good as we think it is, it's also pretty obscure.
and, while i find obscurity more interesting, most would naturally find it less so.
or else it wouldn't be obscure. and that'd be a shame, now, wouldn't it?
siftbotsays...Creep VS The Air That I Breathe - Radiohead/Hollies cover has been added as a related post - related requested by Zawash on that post.
