OK, so there is that company (Introversion) that developed the very interesting Darwinia & Multiwinia - both cool, simple, retro inspired games. Subversion will be their next interesting piece of programming. The engine can procedurally generate highly realistic city schematic-landscapes. This video shows Chris Delay, creative director on the project showing an early alpha build of the game. Bare with it, it seems a little boring at first but then Chris will play through a scenario of the game. After setting up the scenario the resulting game-play becomes a bit hair-raising as the heisters attempt to make their final escape.
The content within this game could make it the modern Syndicate you and I have been waiting for and will probably become many nerds' most anticipated video game title.
Here's the wiki:
"Subversion is going to be set in a modern High Tech environment, with you taking "mission control" over a team of skilled operatives in a hostile High Security building. You will be using Sabotage, Social Engineering and Grifting, custom Electrical and Mechanical devices, Distractions, Hacking, Stealth, Acrobatics, Precision demolitions, Trickery, whatever gets the job done. In the best case scenarios your enemies will never know you were even there. When things go wrong, a well prepared escape plan and well timed precision violence will get you out of a tight spot - or maybe not."[4]

I'm not sure the best way to earn stars quickly is to post videos that are nearly 27 minutes long!
shagen454Hehe, very true! I was more being sardonic that they wouldn't have to go through the trouble of creating a thumbnail if I had bronze... or is that true?
TheGenkNot THAT look sweet!

Introversion really does make great games, few but you know, quality over quantity.
They stole days of my life with Uplink. (Still got the music from that game on my mp3-player
Jinxsays...Introversion are great. Love their games. Reckon if they started making things for the Iphone they'd clear up easy.
Nice sift.
