siftbotsays...This video has been flagged as having an embed that is Region Blocked to not function in certain geographical locations - declared blocked by calvados.
rougysays...Yeah - the usual suspects claim that it would be 'unacceptable' to leave Iraq because there would be a genocide.
These are the same people who said America would be welcomed as liberators.
They say that we can't leave for the benefit of the Iraqi people.
These are the same people who said America should never fight a war unless it is in America's best interest.
They say that the Iraqi's are better off without Saddam as their dictator.
These are the same people who ignore the 1,000,000 civilians who died and the 3,000,000 refugees forced from their home and their country as a result of a threadbare US occupation force that is either unable or unwilling to maintain peace and stability.
With friends like that looking out for Iraq, who needs enemies?
thinker247says...You know, 99 percent of the time I laugh at Jon Stewart's jokes, but this time I didn't. It isn't because they're unfunny, because that is impossible from such a great comedian. The reason I didn't laugh is because I'm so tired of Orwellian government entities not only ruining the world, but doing so with a cloak of semantics hiding their true nature. My desire for laughter after every joke was quickly subsided by the aching of my head. And thus:
The Bush administration has broken my funny bone.
cheesemoosays...Not once?
effsays...for whatever reason i can't post this video, but i was reminded of it after thinker247's comment. it's from the RNC 2004, and very appropriately tongue in cheek.

if anyone wants to explain why the embed code won't validate, i'd be all ears. i couldn't find this clip on the sift either
T-mansays...The Bush Administration does not break funny bones. They engage in enhanced aggravation of the ulnar nerve.
[And I'm sure you deserved it. Even if you didn't... 9/11.]

You need to be a Gold Star member to be able to post from most non-YouTube sources, including the Comedy Central player.
NordlichReitersays...What the hell is a rendition? Ah, its bullshit. Thats what it is. The act of sending a person they think is a criminal to another country to be tortured because they don't have the balls to do it on US soil.
