acidSpinesays...So Ahno Whatanawfulvoice thinks the churches actions should be judged by the standards of the day does she? Well how about this one that came out recently.

It is believed at least 150,000 Australian women had their babies taken against their will by some churches and adoption agencies between the 1950s and 1970s.
150,000! In Australia alone. This is what comes of assuming you have all the answers and know what's best for everybody.
A10anissays...I watched the actual debate, and it was fascinating. Stephen Fry and Christopher Hitchens changed, with logic, reasoning and intellect, the minds of many of the audience who then voted that Christianity was NOT a force for good. Could I just add that Ann Widdecombe is entitled to her beliefs, and calling her a witch (in the description) is unnecessarily insulting.
acidSpinesays...^Where does it call her a witch?
hpqpsays...@A10anis
I have no qualms whatsoever calling the unsavoury character that is Ms. Widdecombe a "witch", in fact I find the playful insult quite mild. Ms. Widdecombe is misogynist homophobe, a xenophobic conservative in favour of the death penalty, and a climate-change denialist (just to name a few). Frankly, I think it's more insulting to "witches".
charliemsays...Anyone got a link to the full debate? Sounds exciting!

So, you know her so well you can accuse Ms. Widdecombe of disliking woman, homosexuals, and foreigners? I very much doubt it. As i said before, her views are diametrically opposed to mine, but i defend her right to have them without being the subject of childish name calling. Frankly, (to use your term), it displays the very intolerence you accuse her of. Good day sir.

Good day sir.
OH Fuck off you sanctimonious fucker!
hpqpsays...I don't have to be Ms. Widdecombe's fuckbuddy to know what I said about her. I was going to send you a-googling, but then I came across this neat list which covers every accusation I made against her and then some. However, since the term "witch" seems to have struck a painful chord, I have changed it to something less childish and more factual.
p.s.: isn't it a bit sexist to assume that because I'm on the interwebs I'm a "sir"? Or was that just for asinine effect?

AdrianBlacksays...I don't think I've ever heard Stephen Fry raise his voice quite like that before. It was very powerful.
