Stein Brewing: An Extinct Beer Brewing Process (Now Revived)

Via HuffPo:

Hundreds of years ago, people made beer by throwing hot lava rocks into a brew kettle.

The transference of heat would raise the temperature past the boiling point, resulting in a different kind of beer than the kind we drink today.

This process -- formally known as Stein Brewing -- was phased out as beer-technology progressed, but Brooklyn's Sixpoint Craft Ales has brought the ancient method back, and the product can now be tasted at The Modern.

I wish these people could do what they do without been so full of shit.

Fucking everything is potentaily art , especaily if your going to use a liberal definatoin of what art is that modern art galleries use.

thus making it a redundent statment saying "this is art" allso Who gives a fuck , if the beer is good its good beer i fucking hate people that sprinkle shit on things.

ITs a shame they have this fucktard talking over this , would have been an infinatly better video if it just went over the process and how that process impacted the flavor.

Jesus Westy, for once I agree with you about art. I love beer. I love brewing beer. And Six Point makes some damn good beer. They made the first rye beer I ever had and it was delicious.

But you're right. They don't talk about the actual beer in this video at all. And they act like "normal" people couldn't comprehend what they're doing. But that's Brooklyn for you: the most pretentious place on Earth. Not to mention, after all that they actually SHOW themselves using dehydrated hop pellets. Sheesh. They're so pretentious they even make ME sound pretentious.
