Have you heard the theory about all "multidimensional imp" characters literally being the same character? Like Mr Mzyzlplkt in Superman and Q are actually the same higher dimensional being, come down to mess around with different fictional realities. He/it appears in a different form but with the same spirit within each fictional context.

There are other examples besides Q and the Superman imp... escape me right now...
