While it's neat, I have a little trouble buying that this is a real Paramount project. It looks more like some CGI artist or crew's experiment, especially as the graphics are really only up to ST:TNG level.

The graphics are certainly better than ST:TNG (I wish they'd shown a phaser effect). And regardless of who actually made this, I want it. I would love to watch the original series like this. Not to say it should replace the old shows. Both should be out there for the fans. Right, George?

The guy who did this has the clips and back story of this on his site. www.trekenhanced.com He is one of the guys who worked on the ST:TMP director's edition. Apparently he pitched this to paramount and they turned it down.

I don't know, I don't think the CGI enterprise in this one is better than the Next Generation one. You don't get a sense of scale, in some ways this looks more like a model than the original.

While the motion is smoother, it lacks the detail I'd expect of a modern CGI. For an enhanced version, I'd want to react with a 'So *that's* what the buzzard collector really looks like!'
