Star Blazers intro

If you are unfamiliar with Star Blazers, it was a series that came out for US audiences around 1979 or so (IMDB entry), and was certainly the first "kids' show" that I personally remember with thoughtful character development and at least 2 shocking twists during its first season. The series eventually came out on DVD; presumably you can still get it.

The Comet Empire was the best part of the series, a lot less juvenile than the first of the Robotech series. Plus, you gotta love a ship that is basically one big gun. On par with the Robotech Invid series.

Ahh yes, giant battleships with enormous guns in space.

As with most of this stuff I watched as a kid (Astro Boy, Voltron etc.) the animation really is shite... let's move as LITTLE as we can... come on... just a tinsy, tiny bit people... there we go, that was 10 minutes of screen time in just 5 minutes of work... keep it up!
