Spaceships in medieval painting in Serbia

Well, it's probably nothing right? But they do look like spaceships, and that's pretty cool right there.

ha haaaaa "peaceful countryside of Yugoslavia". there's your comedy gold right there. And what's with the freaky music? Seriously though I love how the narrator says authoritatively: "there are no explanations for the origin or purpose of the paintings" like 'don't you dare even try to think of any either!'. Doesn't it seem infinitely more plausible that these are a highly superstitious society's depictions of comets with some sort of god/demon inside or somesuch? Comets were widely seen back then to be harbingers of catastrophe and we know all too well how even modern nutjobs like the heaven's gate cult still like to populate them with imaginary gods/aliens and so on. But no, let's stick with the explanation that they're actually alien spacecraft because, you know, that just more fun to believe.

nothing, so long as it is recognized as such. but that recognition is rare and this is evidinced here by the decidedly non-frivolous and grave intonation of the narrator. so in these cases where people start to take thier own nonsense seriously, well that's when it deserves a rebuttal.

The "spaceship" on the right look strangely like the moon and the "spaceship" on the left look strangely like the sun. With "trails" indicating they are moving from left to right.

Hey folks, I'm new here.
Notice how the "craft" on the right has a distinct crescent moon shape to it, while the one on the left is more or less an enclosed orb. The narrator also mentions that the figure in the craft on the right is looking back at the one behind him. In many cultures there are folklore tales about the sun "chasing" the moon across the sky. Sometimes the sun catches up and thats when eclipses occur.

well yes. it's a sun and moon. you can even tell that by reading y**tube comments. but they look like spaceships! it's cool!

i mean yes they look like the sun and the moon.

but they also look like the last bit in star wars. the "sun" is a TIE figher and the "moon" is definitely an X-wing. Look carefully. Squint. Turn your monitor upside down.

The question is, how did the artist who created this painting manage to see Star Wars hundreds of years before it came out? ANSWER ME THAT!

lol

Well, well... I'm from Serbia and actually I find this shit very funny... especially your comments. I like the comment about the Star Wars! Anyway, maybe the painter had a liter of Serbian brandy which could induce such visions :-)
