nocksays...No, because rain is random water droplets. You need a body of water concentrated near the key fob.

Orzsays...Ok, does this mean if you are standing in a long line of people where your car is at the other end, you can effectively increase the range even further?
charliemsays...It would be dependant on the wavelength of the key used. It should ideally be close to 0 wavelength distance from the transmitter to antannae, or some harmonic of 1*n full wavelength. Anything in between will lower the signal level (with half a wavelength causing total loss of signal, via destructive interference).
