Uhhh... duh! The only thing the driver COULD have done was pull over and call the police, since if the driver even THINKS about touching any of the students, he'll be fired. And let's analyze the possibility of him pulling over and calling the cops. Put yourself in that situation. If the school is ANYTHING like my school, there's a fight on the bus EVERY DAY, most of the time it's just harmless little stuff like someone shoving, and many times it just seems like a physical fight but is just name calling and stupid posturing. Are you going to pull over and call the cops EVERY DAY? Especially when, even with those big mirrors that show you all the happenings on the bus, you are most likely not going to see much since you have to keep your eyes on the road.

Even if the driver was licensed (somehow) to discipline the kids, he'd be dumb to do it. 10 teens > any of the bus drivers I've seen.

Solution:
Put a big red button on the dashboard that, when pressed, dumps sleeping gas into the (sealed) cabin where the "children" sit.

I remember going through the "projects" and watching a mob follow a fight around. They were fighting, and whipping each other around by the hair pieces. I saw a whole mob following these two fighters across three streets, and through a field.
