Rush - YYZ Animated

"It's always a happy day when YYZ appears on our luggage tags!"

Here is an animated version of "YYZ" off Rush's popular album "Moving Pictures". The animation was done by Bobby Standridge with the permission and endorsement of the band.

YYZ is the airport identification code for Toronto National Aiport, the city where Rush is from. The letters Y-Y-Z can be heard in Morse Code at the beginning of the song.

pretty intense.. I wonder if the virtual Neal was hand animated or if he's under midi control as in the animusic stuff

This was hand animated. The animator watched videos of Neal performing and did the video as a sequence of short segments. When he was done he spliced them all together for the final product.
