I think Newt's (and the rest of the redumblicans) problem isn't the tax increases or the government bureaucracy, it's that the poor people would have the same access to "quality" care that the rich people have, something that was commonplace 50 years ago before the right decided that the class structure in this country wasn't divided enough.

Taxes are all about value, I'm ok, as I assume many other people would be, with paying higher taxes if the value I received from them was commensurate with my expenditure. As of right now, between what I pay for shitty insurance and taxes, I'm already well above the highest tax bracket for any "Dirty Socialist" European nation.
