There were at that point 4 policemen and a security guard surrounding the girl. How is that kind of force necessary?

Excessive force for sure. The guy lost it, there were 4 people with him obviously it's not like she was going to go all Matrix on them.

Well at least he didn't taser the hell out of her - from that angle it's hard to confirm/deny his claim that she was going for his package.

I'm sorry, but if some crazy drunk girl is trying to grab my genitals in an aggressive and damaging manner, I'd pop her a few good ones too. Seriously, if she was fighting back that violently and the police officer had to somehow stun her long enough to get a good hold and avoid further damage to his own person, the quickest way to do it in his position would be a few blows. No, it's not exactly chivalry, but it's fast and effective. In my eyes, the officer is in the clear here.

yeah he's kind bigging his danglys up a bit in his description! i think if she was gripping him that way anyone would whack em off until they let go.
cops have only ever caused me problems (and had done nothing wrong), and they've never helped me out. i dont think this was too out of line though

Not a fan of cops in general, I still sympathize with their daily impossible lose/lose situation.

In a grapple like that, a suspect could easily produce a knife the officer would never even see before being fatally wounded. Did the officer already have a chance to frisk for weapons?

Had he Tasered her, he'd still be blamed for using excessive force.

And the ever-flowing cries of racism, par for the course. The media needs that angle to sell it, even if it ruins a good person's career.

The cop should sue her.
