Killing a bunch of people seems to be a bit harsh just to get a date.

Still, where I'm from it's a pretty widely recognized trend that "bad guys always get the girl". I've seen it enough times in my life to wonder if Bonnie and Clyde Syndrome isn't just an extreme side of normal human tendency. There's really something to that, at least a bit.
