I think the problem is all the Presidents feel like they need to turn around and do a wave or give a sign right before entering that small door. It must all started with that victory sign thing from Nixon.

Wow..mental picture of Nixon giving his famous victory sign, turn around and bump his head right into Marine One's door just enter my head. I can't stop laughing now.
