The cultivation units vary in size and consist of several cultivation layers on top of each other. The surface of 1 hectare cultivation area can consist of 10 modules of 1000 m² which are stacked on top of each other. The ultimate dimensions are determined based on cultivation wishes, climate wishes, investment costs, production expectations, internal transport, automation and suchlike."
It uses LED technology to grow plants meaning that you can grow plants anytime and anywhere. Regional sun patterns can now be taken out of the equation, local pests as well as you can use this technology to grow plants in pest-free environments.

mindbrainsays...It's like Tron but hot pink, and there's plants.
GenjiKilpatricksays...EEK! this is exactly what I want to do with my life!
Indoor farming is the way to bring ourselves into the realm of a level one civilization!
BoneRemakesays...My garden is powered by a 150 watts high pressure sodium light gutted from a Security light. It works very well, last I heard of Led technology was from years ago, its very nice to see it going into such high production and applications. I have four month old big herb plants ready for outside, I had to take down my 3 foot brandywine tomato plant because it was just to damn big !
Indoor garden = FTW !
Enzobluesays...Small fyi Reason for the lights: Blue and red photons are all plants need. That's why they're green, because they reject green photons (the middle of the visible spectrum), for efficiency reasons.
