From YT: Ballmer: It was about that time, maybe 5 years after I got out of Harvard, I get this call from Bill who says- 'You want to join me and Paul?' It was a 2-bit little company they called Microsoft. At first I think, yeah, like I'd like to lose more hair. But, you know, then I started thinking...

Gates: You know how you survive? You make people need you. You survive because you make them need what you have. And then they have no where else to go.

Gates: Right now, we're dead. Nobody needs us.

Allen: So...uhhh. We make 'em need us.

Ballmer: (groan) We're too small even to matter. We could be snuffed out tomorrow and no one would notice.
