Wasnt the hot princess Virginia Madsen? I cant begin to explain what effect she had on my young mind Shame she only had about one more line in the movie...

It was Virginia Madsen indeed. I think her speech was a dumbed down version of the original, and I bet so was the released version of Dune. It'd be interesting to know how much Lynch had to compromise. To this day he refuses to discuss the details of the production.
