All news is FUD. Fear Uncertainty and Doubt. We have to watch hour after hour of suffering in Haiti so we can be sympathetic. But why? Why do we have to watch their suffering? Who does it help?
All entertainment is about watching one train wreck after another. It's all about the fail, we want to see the losers lose - that's what makes it fun.
It's pretty hard to be positive if you're brain is always soaking up the negative.
