Quboidsays...Interesting. Could someone familiar with American politics please put this into perspective? Drop in the ocean or anything more? I would absolutely love to see Blair and Bush up on war crime charges and faced with a real trial. If they get off scot free then fine, as long as it's a proper trial. As it is, these guys can do what they want and so can the people that follow them.
Shame about some of the points - soldiers shipping out on their kids' birthdays, fathers worrying about their sons being sent to Iraq, the Nazis. None of this is relevant - there's only 365 days you can ship out soldiers, if your son joins the armed forces, this is going to happen and the Nazis have nothing to do with it. Yes, these are all bad things but they've little to do with the legality of the war.
winkler1says...Mainly a symbolic gesture but helps build momentum to impeach at a national level. Things are heading to a constitutional showdown; the Republicans are trying to run out the clock and as sick of Bush as the rest of us.
quantumushroomsays...A worthless gesture by ineffectual leftists from an inconsequential state.
I'm not happy with W's take on lotsa stuff, but there's NO case for impeachment and these squares know it.
The Victicrat Congress has started over 300 investigations since being barely elected in Nov '06. Results? Nada. Wasting time and money. Lower approval ratings than Bush's.
The left's answer to everything, including terrorist attacks, is to raise taxes.
LESS leftist hogwash = more wealth and freedom.
BoneyDsays...As opposed to lowering taxes, where government sponsored faith based groups are used instead to fund social support programs?
A saving of public funds at the cost of the blurring lines between church and state. These are the constitutional breaches that even a conservative should be concerned about.
winkler1says...QM - raising taxes, is that the only talking point you have? How l992.
Bush has run up the biggest deficit in history. He inherited a surplus of 284 billion, which he's managed turn turn into a 296 billion dollar deficit. Heckuva job. No wonder historians agree he's the worst president ever.
