well you won't have "invocations" till you get a gold star. But the short of it is that it's a way for users to help moderate the site. A *quality post gives the owner of a sift talk post one star point. Which is like one posted video. It takes 50 posted videos to become a gold star and wield almighty power, so they are quite coveted.

perhaps some goldy should change the name of this thread, or otherwise include it in the FAQ: what not to do. lol
