benjeesays...Another satirical parody of Hollywood's re-writing of history; from the fantastic Monkey Dust (Series 2 Episode 1).
gaffasays..."In honor for all the Americans who died during the early middle ages.."
Opening is a bit NSFW cheaky..
benjeesays...Changed the title in-case anyone else felt the same ("maybe NSFW first 10 seconds"!) It's hard (no pun intended) to gauge how NSFW an animation is; especially if it has no swearing or blatant nudity etc.
pass.the.grog.says...at 3:00, subliminal message "Soundtrack available in stores now"
benjeesays...Yeah - one of the knights is the guy who wrote the soundtrack, I presume (he appears to the left of the subliminal message and has the name 'DaCosta' on his back at the start).
Farhad2000says...What the hell what that opening clip? Was that two cartoon men going at it? What the fuck? LOL!
benjeesays...Monkey Dust is a very dark, subversive animation on the BBC (2 & 3) over here in the UK. They like to 'bite the hand that feeds it' and rip the piss out of the BBC; or in this case, its IDs & voice-over.
BBC 1 has a load of idents which feature people in red & white clothes (its branded colours) doing various choreographed things (like dancing/skateboarding etc). I think this was inspired by one where two guys on a roof perform that martial art, where they round-house kick and swing around without contact - can't remember what the sports called!
NickyPsays...I know Ben lad it's called Capoeira. The idents are pretty lame would you not say. Better than itv's though. Is there now a race on for the monkey dust clips?
benjeesays...Yeah - the BBC One idents are a little weak (especially in comparison to Channel 4's - at least Two & Three's have a comedic value). Although, they don't have much other competition; ITVs are the usual cheesey kack and Five: well, I just won't even go there...
Good luck with the Monkey Dust hunt: there's a few out there, but not the best. See you on the race-course!
NickyPsays...can I grab a load off you man?
James Roesays...damn errant down vote, sorry
Kruposays...They call Saladin an English bastard - ah, complete and utter total classic comedy.
