xxovercastxxsays...Windows CEMENT predates Vista by several years. The original joke appeared along side the ME release.

There used to be a full "promo site" for it.
As for this video, it struck me as odd that they'd make something up like how Microsoft "removed" virus protection from Windows Vista. There's no need to fabricating negatives about Vista... that's sort of like fabricating negatives about George Bush; the truth is plenty bad.
pho3n1xsays...actually they kinda did. they had planned on pre-packaging OneCare/Defender with Vista and then everyone else in the AV biz flipped out.
you should see what the European Commission requested for the European release of Vista...

demon_ixsays...At least 7 works like a charm, so far. Except for an annoying taskbar flicker every now and then.
Deanosays...Of course like most things Microsoft, time and a bit of customising makes Vista quite usable. I was setting up a friend's new laptop a few days ago, fixed UAC, made some minor tweaks and installed important software. Service park 2 is due soon as well isn't it?
The lesson is let others be the early adopters. Hell, I'm still running Windows 2000.
