sfjockosays...It's hard not to feel for these guys, they are scared shitless. I hope they all made it out safely. And wish they left the country immediately after that.
chiminosays...Nice way to show all the people that support war the real consequences and danger you put the youth at. In war there's no such thing as good guys and bad guys.
Poor guys, I really wish they got themselved out safely.
mlxsays...I have to disagree with you, chimino. Here's the bad guys:

Our boys are over there doing their patriotic duty, whether you agree with it or not. They ARE the good guys. God bless them.
ptarrsays...Wow. That's amazing. I hope those guys got out to. I take it this is probably from Iraq. Imagine what it would be like if people like them didn't step up and take that risk, the risk of their own lives, to defend their country. The terrorist attacks wouldn't have stopped with 9/11. And the terror we all saw in this video would be taking place in homes all over America. God bless our armed forces.

That was powerful in a way that a news report never could be. Please bring these guys home.
harriersays...If you listen closely, the bangs continue in the background for the whole clip. It sounds like the Marines are seeking cover under things (you hear one say 'quit pushing me from under the table' and another says 'please don't let it get any closer'). It could be RPG rounds, but it is more likely mortar rounds. They were used regularly by insurgents to attack Army camps at night in Iraq, and they can be quickly set up and moved. One good shot could kill most, if not all, these Marines. I definitely pray they made it out safely.

I don't know what's more sad, the fact that you believe that or the fact that they're dying over there...
ptarrsays...So you don't believe it?
Take a second to read this:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/04/13/moussaoui.trial/index.html
(It's kinda long so try to be patient.)
For some reason I don't think Moussaoui and his buds would've stopped with the World Trade Center. (Even if Moussaoui is crazy, that doesn't mean he would've stopped.)
PS. Thanks harrier; that was interesting.
Correctionsays...After you finish reading the CNN article, take a second to read this:
Iraq didn't cause 9/11. That was Afghanistan.
The problem with the war in Iraq is we could have avoided putting innocent Marines into situations like this if we'd actually studied the political situation instead of rushing in with our bullheaded Shock and Awe tactics and no exit plan, all for distabilizing a dictator that wasn't half as dangerous to us as Pakistan or North Korea. Now we've set Iraq on the path towards civil war, and given the terrorists who caused 9/11 a new reason to rally people against us.

I agree with you Correction. Iraq is not Afghanistan, there was pretty much no connection between 9/11 and Iraq.
It made a convenient pretext for something that Bush and Rummy had been wanting to do anyway. Why did they want to do it? See Dave Chapelle's take on it:

cindy5615says...Sure brings the reality of the situation home. Support OUR troops!
1zin1says...i would support them americans if they where there for a good reason.
And i think its goos hes praying giving hismelf a reason to get out by praying to god, but do you think god would let those few americans get out just to kill other humans, i doubt it.
choggiesays...Wouldn't be pleased to have churchy there in my squad, though, all that prayin' out loud would serve to distract and muddle the situation-
