Sarzysays...*requeue
siftbotsays...Re-queueing this video for one more try; last queued Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008 10:22pm PST - requeue requested by submitter Sarzy.
Thylansays...I should re watch this.
Sarzysays...Definitely. I find that this movie has so many layers and is just so awesome it honestly gets better every time you watch it (and, as with all really good movies, I don't think it's possible to fully appreciate it on just one viewing).
my15minutessays...^ i wholeheartedly endorse every word, sarzy.
knew it was going to be awesome from the opening scene, because that was an event i had already known of, from a trivia book, when i was 9.
great fuckin' movie.
and, honestly? one of the 3 movies, that i always point to, in defense of tom cruise's career.
as fucked up as his 'religion' is, and as much as he mostly drifts on his looks?
watch 'Born on the 4th of July', 'Collateral', and this. (aka, the good scripts)
and the first 'M:I' was pretty solid, too.
Farhad2000says...Wonderful film. I also need to re-watch this. Boogie Nights as well.
I can't wait to see that new PTA flick with Daniel Day Lewis.
JohnnyMackerssays...I watched this whilst baked as hell one night.
I remember loudly exclaiming, more than once during the movie: "Wait...what the fuck is going on?!" That and a rain of frogs.
I might have imagined the frogs though.
dystopianfuturetodaysays...Great Film and a great score by Jon Brion/Aimee Mann. FYI Sarzy, it looks like issy and I are finally going to see TWBB tonight.
rossprudensays...While Magnolia is filled with amazing individual performances (Cruise's, in particular), I must admit that when I first saw this film, I hated it... which is rare for me, and also odd because I loved Boogie Nights. Whenever that happens, I tell myself to wait awhile and see it a second time before I pass judgement.
I can't wait to see it again now.
