That looks like fun. It's a shame I'm too old to learn to skate, and too old to stay up until dawn to skate at dawn anyway.

Why would you choose a longboard over a normal skateboard? It seems to bend quite alarmingly in the middle...

Longboards seem to be better suited to go faster and to do easier curves.
This may result from having the tires at the end of the board.
Sooo longboard = fast, cruise; skateboard = tricks, jumps and craziness.
